I wish it would give you the option of choosing how long an app stays unlocked for, that it would at the very least keep an app unlocked if I briefly switch to another and return without closing the screen, and that there was a setting which would allow a single unlock to unlock all locked apps so long as the screen remains on. Also, the lowercase "v" in the word "vault" under the icon, and the "catched" instead of "caught" intruders... 🤕

For all the rest (spreadsheets, documents etc) it only encrypts the application launch. Connect phone to your computer and any such files are fully open. So, no good for encrypting personal documents.
