Pocket Ledger is a local-first manual money tracker and budget planner. It is built for people who do not want to connect a bank account, but still want a clear view of income, expenses, account balances, budgets, savings goals, recurring bills, and personal debts.

Record income, expenses, and transfers by account, category, date, note, and template. Your core ledger data stays on your device. No account registration is required, and your ledger is not automatically uploaded to developer servers.

Log spending, income, and transfers across cash, cards, wallets, savings accounts, and other local accounts. Reusable transaction templates make frequent entries faster.

📊 Budgets and spending control
Create overall budgets, category budgets, weekly budgets, or custom-period budgets. Review usage, remaining amounts, and budget risk before overspending becomes harder to manage.

🎯 Goals, bills, and debts
Track savings goals such as travel funds, emergency funds, or planned purchases. Manage recurring bills like rent, subscriptions, and repayments. Record money owed and money due without mixing it into ordinary spending.

🔎 Clear stats and filters
Review balances, recent activity, monthly income and spending, net cash flow, category breakdowns, budget health, and trends. Search and filter transaction history, then open details behind each number.

📤 Export-friendly by design
Export CSV or Excel transaction files, save PDF stats reports, and create full-ledger backup files. Your records are not locked inside the app when you need to archive, migrate, or analyze them elsewhere.

🔐 Local security controls
Use PIN lock, biometric unlock, auto-lock, and PIN retry backoff. Full-ledger backups can be protected with an encryption passphrase, so keep both the backup file and passphrase safe.

Add an optional home screen widget or Quick Settings tile to view a ledger summary or jump into entry flow with fewer steps.

- Pocket Ledger does not provide loans, credit scores, investment advice, tax filing, insurance, payments, or financial advice.
- The current version does not include ads, account registration, cloud sync, or bank sync.
- Firebase analytics, crash diagnostics, and remote configuration support reliability and product health. They are not intended to collect ledger entry contents.
- Remember your encrypted backup passphrase. Pocket Ledger cannot recover a lost backup passphrase.

Pocket Ledger does not try to make complex financial decisions for you. It helps make everyday spending, budgets, bills, debts, and goals clear, controllable, and exportable.
