Verify Claims Against the Documents You Trust
DocVerita helps you determine whether written claims are supported by your own source documents.
The content can be written by a person or generated by AI. DocVerita focuses on the claim itself: what it says, whether the documents you selected support it, and what evidence those documents contain.
Upload contracts, policies, regulations, manuals, reports, research papers, internal records, or other reference materials. DocVerita analyzes the text you want checked, compares its claims against those documents, and shows you the evidence behind every result.
Highlight text anywhere on the web, right-click, and select "Check with DocVerita" — it's sent straight to the extension and checking starts immediately, no copying or retyping required.
Why Use DocVerita?
A statement can sound accurate while still being incomplete, unsupported, misleading, or inconsistent with the source material.
DocVerita helps you review important content before you rely on it, send it, publish it, approve it, or use it to make a decision.
Instead of a general score or an unexplained answer, DocVerita shows you:
The individual claim being reviewed
A clear verification verdict
The exact evidence found in your source documents
The document that evidence came from
The relevant page citation
Additional context when the evidence is incomplete or unclear
This lets you inspect the source material yourself and understand exactly why each result was assigned.
Five Clear Verification Results
Each claim receives one of five verdicts:
Supported — The selected documents contain evidence that supports the claim.
Partially Supported — The documents support part of the claim, but one or more details are unsupported, incomplete, or inconsistent with the available evidence.
Ambiguous — The evidence is unclear, conditional, incomplete, or reasonably open to more than one interpretation.
Contradicted — The selected documents contain evidence that conflicts with the claim.
No Evidence Found — DocVerita did not find sufficient supporting or contradictory evidence for the claim in the selected documents.
Each claim is evaluated independently, so one supported statement never hides another that's unsupported or contradicted.
How DocVerita Works
Add the content you want to verify — Paste text directly, or highlight a passage on any webpage and send it to DocVerita in one click.
Upload your authority documents — PDF, Word (.doc and .docx), or plain text. Choose the documents that should serve as the source of truth: contracts, policies, regulations, manuals, procedures, reports, research papers, or internal records. You decide what counts as authoritative.
Run the verification — DocVerita identifies the claims in your submitted text, searches your uploaded documents for relevant evidence, and evaluates what those sources actually support.
Review each result — For every claim, DocVerita shows the verdict, the evidence excerpt, the source document, the page citation, and any relevant context — so you can compare the result directly against the original source.
Export and Revisit Your Results
Export a Verdict Snapshot of any check as a PDF or JSON file — and re-import a previously exported Snapshot to pick up where you left off. Business and higher plans also include a Verification Certificate, a shareable record of your verification results.
Verify Human- and AI-Written Content
DocVerita isn't limited to AI-generated material. It works just as well for claims written by employees, contractors, researchers, students, attorneys, compliance staff, customer-service teams, technical writers, AI assistants, or anyone else producing written content. DocVerita doesn't try to determine who or what wrote it — only whether the claims are supported by the documents you provide.
Common Uses
AI-generated answers and summaries — Check whether an AI response accurately reflects the documents it was supposed to use.
Contracts and legal materials — Compare summaries, explanations, obligations, and dates against the underlying documents.
Policies and procedures — Check whether guidance, instructions, or reports align with current organizational policy.
Compliance and regulatory work — Check written statements against the regulations or standards that apply.
Proposals and procurement — Compare proposal language against solicitations and source requirements.
Research and education — Check whether written claims are supported by the papers and materials cited.
Technical documentation — Check descriptions and specifications against source manuals.
Internal reports and communications — Check reports, memos, and training materials against official records.
Your Documents Define the Verification Scope
DocVerita is not a general public-internet fact-checker. It doesn't search news sites, Wikipedia, or search engines to decide whether something is true. It verifies claims only against the documents you intentionally provide — built for situations where the real source of truth is private, proprietary, or specific to your organization.
Evidence Instead of an Unexplained Score
A general confidence score can't tell you whether a specific date, exception, or named party is actually supported. DocVerita evaluates each claim individually and ties every result to real evidence — surfacing unsupported statements, incorrect details, missing conditions, overstated conclusions, and claims your documents simply don't address.
Session-Based, Privacy-Focused Processing
DocVerita is built around temporary, session-based processing, not permanent document storage. A Clear Session control lets you remove your uploaded documents and results at any time. See DocVerita's Privacy Policy for full details on processing, retention, security, and service providers.
Important Limitations
DocVerita's results depend on the documents you select. Quality can be affected by whether the relevant information is present in your uploads, how current and complete your source collection is, the clarity of the claim, and the accuracy of text extraction from scanned materials.
A Supported verdict means your selected documents contain evidence supporting the claim — not that the claim is universally true. A No Evidence Found verdict doesn't mean a claim is false; it means the documents used for that check didn't contain sufficient evidence either way.
DocVerita is a document-verification and evidence-review tool. It does not provide legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice and should not replace professional judgment in high-stakes situations.
Know What Your Documents Actually Support
DocVerita helps you move beyond whether a statement merely sounds right. It gives you a structured way to compare claims against sources you trust, inspect the evidence, and see exactly what those documents support, partially support, leave unclear, contradict, or don't address.
Verify. Trace. Trust.
