JerzyUczy is an app for students in grades 2-4 of primary school that helps them master Polish spelling through short, colorful exercises
—with over 380 colorful pictures illustrating each word. Sections covering other areas of knowledge that are challenging for primary school students will also be added soon.

🎯 Five spelling categories:
• ó / u — alternation, -s and -ówka endings, exceptions
• rz / ż — after consonants, alternation with r, exceptions (wheat, cross)
• ch / h — basic ch, alternation ch→sz, h in foreign words
• ą / ę — nasals, alternation ą↔ę, rule before p/b
• ś/ć/ń/ź vs si/ci/ni/zi — two sides of the same rule

🎮 Five types of exercises, each training a different skill:
• Choose a letter — quick recognition (ó or u?)
• Drag the letter to the gap — focusing on a difficult part of the word
• Sort words into bags — learning the rule as a category
• Make a word from scattered letters — producing the entire word from memory by looking at the picture; The child remembers a graphic pattern, not just one difficult letter.
• Find an error in a sentence – recognize the error in context, as when proofreading one's own text.

🧠 Learning algorithm based on the Leitner method (spaced repetition): mastered words are recalled less frequently, weak words more frequently.

Each session consists of 5–10 words selected to keep the child in their "zone of proximal development" – not too easy, not too difficult.

🖼️ Over 380 colorful illustrations – each word has its own picture,
which helps encode the spelling in visual memory.

🦔 Throughout the learning process, a plush hedgehog named Jerzy accompanies the child, who reacts emotionally to answers – he's happy with correct answers and sad with errors. No "game over," no time pressure.

👨‍👩‍👧 For parents: a statistics screen with the percentage of correct answers
in each category and session history. Reset the selected category when
the child wants to start over.
