How many times did you reach for your phone today for no reason?

Prayer is a simple app that stands between you and whatever is stealing your time. Before you open Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, you'll see an invitation to a short prayer. Only then will you be granted access.

This isn't another screen timer. It's a reflex exchange for a moment with God.

■ HOW IT WORKS

1. You choose the apps that absorb you.
2. When you try to open them, the prayer screen appears.
3. After prayer, the apps are unlocked—for 15 minutes, an hour, three hours, or until midnight. You decide.

■ TWO WAYS TO PRAY

• Read the prayer—the prayer of the day and the word for today; "Amen" after a moment of reflection.
• Write an intention—in your own words, what you want to pray for today. Your intention stays on your device.

■ WHAT'S INSIDE - FREE

• App blocking - any apps you choose.
• Offline prayer book - 26 prayers: the daily prayer (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be, I believe in God, Angelus), morning and evening prayers, acts of faith, hope, love, and contrition, Marian prayers - Angelus, Under Your Protection, Hail, Queen - Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and a rosary with all four parts of the mysteries. Everything works without internet.
• Word of the Day - a short passage from Holy Scripture for each day.
• Streak - how many days in a row you managed to pause for prayer.
• Daily invitation - a notification at a selected time, by default at noon, for the Angelus.
• Warning when the protection stops working.

■ YOUR PRIVACY

Prayer has no accounts, ads, or analytics. Your prayers, intentions, settings, and list of blocked apps stay on your phone and never leave.

To detect when you're opening a blocked app, we use the Accessibility service—we only check the app's name at the top of the screen. We don't read your screen; the system technically doesn't allow us to do so, as we don't request such access.

The only connection to the network is for the purchase of the Plus add-on: payment is handled by Google Play, and the purchase status is handled by RevenueCat—an anonymous identifier is then transmitted, without your name, email address, or Google account. ■ PRAYER IS FREE

The prayer book, word for today, app lock, and streak are and will remain free. We do not sell prayer.
