AirCasting | Air Quality

AirCasting is an open-source environmental data visualization platform that includes an Android app and an online mapping system to record and display air quality measurements. It collects data from HabitatMap's AirBeam and other monitoring devices, compiling one of the largest community-collected air quality databases across the globe.

The AirBeam device measures particulate matter, humidity, and temperature, providing hyperlocal pollution data that can be tracked in real-time. AirCasting supports mobile and fixed modes, allowing users to monitor personal exposure or ambient air quality 24/7. This platform empowers community organizations, educators, researchers, and policymakers to better understand pollution patterns and promote clean air advocacy, especially benefiting vulnerable communities.
