Previous editions have featured over 250 companies from around the world and productions by European directors such as Luk Perceval, László Bocsárdi, Elizabeth LeCompte, Robert Sturua, Silviu Purcarete, Edward Hall, Giuseppe Dipasquale, and many others. Interpretations of Shakespeare's plays were presented from over 40 countries, including the United Kingdom, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Latvia, Cuba, Denmark, Italy, Belarus, Hungary, Armenia, Iceland, Israel, Iran, South Korea, the United States, Japan, Spain, Georgia, Finland, Sweden, Macedonia, the Czech Republic, Romania, and Zimbabwe.

Three competitions are organized as part of the festival:
1. Golden Yorick – for the best Polish production of William Shakespeare's dramatic works and works inspired by William Shakespeare's works.
2. New Yorick – aimed at young artists making their debut in Polish theatre, and aimed to encourage them to read and perform the works of William Shakespeare, seek answers to contemporary issues in his works, and explore new theatrical forms through them.
3. ShakespeareOFF – the aim is to financially support the most valuable artistic projects based on or inspired by the works of William Shakespeare. The competition is open to non-institutional theater groups, creative collectives, and individual artists.

Festival performances take place at the Gdańsk Shakespeare Theatre and other theater venues in the Tricity area. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Gdańsk Shakespeare Theatre box office. The festival program includes performances from Poland and around the world inspired by the works of William Shakespeare.
