BedrockTogether

Bedrock Together: Join any bedrock server on Xbox/PS

Features & Capabilities

BedrockTogether is a Chrome extension that enables Minecraft Bedrock Edition players on Xbox and PlayStation to join any Bedrock server as if it were a LAN server. This eliminates the need for complicated DNS rerouting and simplifies multiplayer gaming on consoles. To connect, users enter the server IP and port, start the app, then join the server via the game’s LAN tab on the Friends screen.

Currently, BedrockTogether does not support Realms or Nintendo Switch compatibility. The extension requires the console and the device running BedrockTogether to be on the same local network. It includes helpful troubleshooting tips and has an active community on Discord and Telegram for bug reporting. Note that BedrockTogether is a third-party tool not affiliated with Minecraft or its official owners.

Pros: cross-compatibility lets you play Java servers on Bedrock; generally useful; Donut SMP support; developers appear kind. Cons: pervasive ads disrupt gameplay and persist even for paid users; frequent connection issues and ad-triggered disconnects; reliability problems after restarts; slow Minecraft version updates; security concerns. Overall, the core feature is valued, but ads and instability undermine the experience.
Pros
  • Cross-compatibility lets you play Java servers on Bedrock.
  • Generally useful for accessing multiplayer features.
  • Donut SMP support mentioned positively.
  • Developers are perceived as kind/responsive to users.
Cons
  • Excessive, intrusive ads disrupt gameplay and occur frequently, including after paying for a pro version.
  • Frequent connection failures, crashes, and inability to join servers.
  • Ads can trigger disconnects, interrupting sessions.
  • Lack of timely updates to support new Minecraft versions (e.g., 1.26.10).
  • Security concerns and scam-like impressions (virus warnings).

I think the best part about this app is how you have to watch 30 ads for a 50% chance of this working or not and then to try again you have to notch another 40 ads of some random AI Chinese girl telling you how you can watch x-rated videos without anyone realizing imagine you have the technical skill to create an app and this is what you decide to do instead of helping someone instead of being productive in the world you create this absolute garbage
