Irritating royal gossip is smeared all over the internet.
Thanks to the coronation, this has reached a whole new level of unbearable.
For indigenous people, royal news is more than just annoying. That’s why Tangata Whenua have created Pīkari Mai, a plugin designed to shut up the headline-hungry royal family.
Pīkari Mai rids the internet of royal articles by replacing them with the latest Māori news drawn from a range of local media publishers. Honouring Kaituhi Māori (indigenous writers) by prioritising news stories written by, for and about indigenous people.

I adore this extension - well done you! I wonder if it would be possible to include some more good indigenous news from over the pond in Australia.
Nice idea! I can think of several other topics I'd like to see muted with an extension like this. However, it doesn't work on all websites. Google News, which is one of the sites that has been showing me most of the c******tion news I've seen recently, isn't affected at all.
It's a good start and I hope you'll work on it for other uses. The royals won't be going away just because their big event is over.
