AdDrain helps you find which apps on your phone are likely draining your battery because of advertising SDKs — and gives you a clear, one-tap way to act on it.

WHY ADDRAIN?

Some apps quietly run ad networks in the background, using data and battery even when you're not actively using them. Android doesn't show you this directly — your battery settings only show which apps used power, not why. AdDrain fills that gap.

HOW IT WORKS

AdDrain scans your installed apps for two things, entirely on your device:

- Known advertising SDKs — we check for signatures from major ad networks (AdMob, Meta Audience Network, AppLovin, ironSource, Unity Ads, and others)
- Background activity — how much data and time an app uses when you're not actively in it

We combine both into a simple, honest rating: Low, Medium, or High likely ad-driven drain. We never claim to know the exact percentage of your battery used by ads — nobody can measure that precisely, and we won't pretend otherwise.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

For any flagged app, AdDrain gives you a one-tap shortcut to:
- Restrict its background activity
- Uninstall it

Every action goes through Android's own system dialogues — AdDrain never uninstalls or restricts anything automatically.

PRIVACY-FIRST BY DESIGN

- All scanning happens on your device. Your list of installed apps and scan results are never uploaded anywhere.
- No account required.
- No ads — ever. It would be a little embarrassing for a battery app to serve ads.
- Optional, anonymous usage and crash reports — off until you say yes, and you can turn them off any time in Settings.

HONEST ABOUT ITS LIMITS

AdDrain estimates likely ad-driven battery impact using the best signals available on Android. It can occasionally miss an SDK or flag a component that's bundled but not actively serving ads. Treat it as a helpful starting point for investigating your battery usage — not a definitive verdict on any single app.
