Pinus Maximus Firefox

Pinus Maximus

A free, privacy-friendly new tab pinboard for organizing saved links, shortcuts, screens and groups in a customizable local workspace.

Features & Capabilities

Pinus Maximus is a free new tab page, visual bookmark organizer and pinboard extension for Firefox. It helps you organize favorite links, shortcuts and websites in a clean, customizable start page.

Use it as a visual speed dial, project dashboard or personal link board directly in your browser.

It replaces the browser’s new tab page with a customizable pinboard where you can create screens, groups and saved pins for the websites, tools and pages you use often.

What you can do with Pinus Maximus:

  • Create multiple pinboard screens
  • Organize links into groups
  • Add, edit, move and reorder saved pins
  • Customize the appearance of your new tab page
  • Use background images and visual layout options
  • Search with your selected search provider
  • Import, export and reset your local data
  • Keep your setup local in your browser by default
Pinus Maximus is designed to be privacy-friendly.

The extension does not include built-in developer analytics, advertising tracking or user profiling. It does not require a Pinus Maximus account, registration or login. Your saved pins, links, website URLs, groups, screens, settings and local customizations are stored in your browser by default.

Some optional features may contact third-party services only when you choose to use them.

Optional search providers: When you use a configured search provider, the search text you enter may be sent to the selected provider as part of the search URL or request.

Optional favicon providers: If you enable and use a third-party favicon provider, the saved website hostname or domain may be sent to that provider to retrieve an icon. Pinus Maximus is designed to avoid sending the full saved URL, path, query string, fragment, pin title, group name or screen name to favicon providers.

These optional features are controlled by the user and are not used for developer analytics, telemetry, advertising tracking or profiling.

Pinus Maximus is 100% free.

It is made for users who want a simple, flexible and visual new tab workspace without turning their browser start page into a cloud account, feed or tracking surface.

Typical use cases:

  • Keep favorite tools and websites in one place
  • Build separate boards for work, study, projects or personal browsing
  • Organize bookmarks visually instead of relying only on browser bookmark folders
  • Create a calm and focused new tab page
  • Keep local control over your saved pinboard data
Pinus Maximus focuses on clarity, customization and privacy-conscious defaults.
