Dekatrian is not a new idea; this form of calendar was used in ancient times, such as in Egypt and Greece. The lunar calendar is a way of measuring time based on the phases of the moon and is used by many cultures around the world. Another more recent attempt at creating a lunar calendar was made by Moses Bruines Cotsworth, who created the 13-month calendar, the Yearal, each with 28 days.

💡 Why adopt the Dekatrian?

The Gregorian calendar currently in use has several problems: months have irregular lengths (28, 30, or 31 days), dates change days of the week each year, and corrections such as leap years are complex. Furthermore, its structure was influenced by historical political decisions and does not follow a natural or logical pattern. The Dekatrian calendar seeks to correct these distortions, offering equal months, ease of planning, and greater harmony with natural cycles.
