Many highlight offline capabilities and detailed bird identification tools. Common complaints involve app incompatibility with updated Android versions, image loading issues in non-English languages, and large internal storage use due to inability to save data on SD cards. Some users also note app hangs and limited variation in bird images, suggesting room for improvement in technical stability and content depth.

Pros

Effective and detailed for learning and identifying birds.
Includes quizzes and bird calls that aid learning.
Free with no advertisements.

Provides useful features like arrows pointing to distinguishing bird features and comparing related birds after quizzes.

Cons

Compatibility issues with newer Android versions and some device models.
Images sometimes do not load correctly, especially when app language is not English.

App occasionally hangs or is slow to load bird details.
Limited variety in bird images (lack of different plumages, young, sexes, or seasonal variations).

Recent reviews

Great idea but the country selection doesn't work. When I select UK birds for a quiz it gives many from other regions. If they fixed it, it would be great.
