Afterburn

AFTERBURN : an endless synthwave rocket-lander.

Fire your twin thrusters, fight real physics, and climb as high as
your fuel and your nerve allow. Every landing pad is smaller and
farther than the last — and the higher you climb, the more the sky
around you changes, from sea-level clouds to the edge of deep space.

HOW TO PLAY
Tap left or right to fire that thruster. Balance both to climb
straight up, or favor one side to steer. Come in too fast, too tilted,
or on your side, and you'll crash. Touch down slow and upright, and
you'll stick the landing, bank points, and refuel for the next leg
of the climb.

REAL PHYSICS, NOT SCRIPTED FLIGHT
Your rocket is a real physics body — it tips, drifts, and bounces
the way an actual craft would. Nothing is faked: every landing,
every crash, every wobble comes out of the simulation, not an
animation.

AN ENDLESS, ESCALATING CLIMB
Pads shrink and spread out the higher you go. Past a certain height,
they start drifting — side to side, then in slow circles — so the
target you're aiming for is a moving one. Fuel is generous but not
infinite: land clean to refuel, or run dry and coast the rest of
the way up on momentum alone.

A SKY THAT KEEPS CHANGING
Climb from parallax clouds and distant mountains, past a synthwave
sun on the horizon, into a starfield scattered with comets, drifting
planets, and a distant galaxy. The whole backdrop is one continuous
journey, not a repeating loop.

COMPETE ON THE LEADERBOARD
Every run submits a score built from how many pads you cleared and
how much fuel you banked along the way. Climb the leaderboard and
see how your best run stacks up.
