PainPad

An app for in patients at MK University Hospital to record their pain level

Features & Capabilities

Painpad is an app for in patients at Milton Keynes University Hospital to record their pain level on a 0-10 scale. To use the app it must first be activated by a clinician, such as a doctor, nurse or physiotherapist, who will scan the QR code. The app will send your pain score directly into your patient record and will allow clinicians to understand how you are recovering and how to improve your pain management. The app will prompt you at regular intervals, usually every 2 hours from 08:00 to 22:00 but your doctor may request it more often. Don’t worry if you miss a reminder prompt: you can enter a pain score whenever you wish.
NOTE: entering a high pain score will not cause a nurse to be called. If you need attention please use the usual call button by your bed.
