| 2025-02-25 |  | | en | This plugin seems to work as advertised but, at least for my usage pattern, it isn't likely to be helpful. The problem is that all of the duplicate finding happens a) in the debugger, b) only at the user's request, and c) in a part of the UI that's not front and centre (at least for the screen layout I always use). In my experience, duplicate ID bugs are rare and don't usually occur to me as the cause of a problem. So I'd like all of the pages in the domains I care about to be scanned all the time and have a big flashing light come on somewhere when I'm looking at the page in question to tell me there are duplicate IDs there. I'd be happy for my day to be interrupted by such an alert, but I don't want to have to go into the debugger for every page I visit, find an obscure tab and click on the search button to check just in case there happen to be duplicate IDs there. |
