Messenger Unread - Maintain Privacy while Checking Messages

Messenger Unread is a chrome extension that aims for comfortable and private messaging experience. It offers user a stress-free way of checking their messages without sending any typing indicators or read receipts. However, as of December 2020, due to Facebook's change in how it fetches messages, this extension is not working. It's open source, so any suggestions for fixing this issue are welcomed.
