Outpost Android

Outpost

Monitor Proxmox VE/PBS, SSH and Docker servers - no account, no ads

Overview

Features & Capabilities

Outpost is a monitoring dashboard designed for home lab and self-hosting enthusiasts—for your Proxmox VE, Proxmox Backup Server, and SSH-managed servers (including Linux and Windows Server), all in one app. There's no account, no backend, and no central server through which anything passes: Outpost connects directly to the servers you configure yourself, from your device. KEY FEATURES

Proxmox VE
• Node status: CPU, RAM, swap, uptime, load average
• VM/LXC machines with live view: CPU/RAM history, IP address, uptime
• Start/Shutdown/Stop/Restart actions for individual machines
• Storage, physical disks (S.M.A.R.T. status), and recent task history

Proxmox Backup Server
• Node overview, datastore with space usage, physical disks, task history

SSH-managed servers (Linux and Windows Server)
• CPU per core, RAM (broken down by cache/swap), disk operations, network bandwidth
• List of Docker containers with live data
• Most demanding processes (CPU)
• Approximate server location (city/region/country)
• Windows Server: list of IIS sites and application pools with Start/Stop/Restart, and view of SQL Server databases (MSSQL, only for (read only)

Security
• Self-signed TLS certificates and SSH host keys are trusted upon first connection and bound to a specific server—you don't need to install a real CA certificate, and you'll be warned about any server identity changes.
• Connection via API token or login/password (for Proxmox, this additionally unlocks the machine power-up actions described above).
• Optional biometric application lock (fingerprint/face recognition/device code)—disabled by default, never enforced.
• Encrypted export/import of all application data (endpoints, login credentials, keys) for transfer to a new device.

Additionally:
• Dynamic DNS No-IP updater, allowing you to maintain access to servers even if the public IP address of your mobile connection changes.
• A dark, distraction-free interface designed for quick infrastructure status checks.

Outpost is designed for people who run their own Proxmox nodes, backup servers, or VPSs/homelabs and want a fast, native a way to check them—not a general IT dashboard with an account, ads, or telemetry. Your login and server data remain encrypted on your device. The app's only network connections are to servers you configure, plus two small, persistent queries you can opt out of: a public IP check for Dynamic DNS and an approximate location lookup shown on the monitored server details page.
