The Veritree Mobile App is a mission-critical, partner-only system used by Veritree Planting Partners to document, verify, and sync restoration work; even with no signal, no internet, and harsh field conditions.

Built specifically for real-world planting and restoration projects, the app ensures every action taken in the field can be accurately verified, audited, and trusted.

📍 GPS Walking Path Tracking (Location foreground service)
As you plant and survey a site, the app continuously records your GPS walking path to map the exact area covered. This location tracking runs as a foreground service with a persistent notification so recording continues without interruption while the screen is off or the app is in the background; essential for capturing an accurate, unbroken route across large planting sites where a survey can take a long time to complete.

🔄 Field Data Sync & Upload (Data sync foreground service)
When connectivity is available, the app syncs all collected field data; planting sessions, measurements, and high-resolution photo evidence, to Veritree's servers, and downloads updated assignments. Because these uploads can be large and slow over remote-area connections, syncing runs as a foreground service with a persistent progress notification so the transfer completes reliably even when you leave the app or the screen turns off. This guarantees verified field data is not lost and is delivered intact.
