Nutre MUAC

Nutre MUAC is a UNICEF initiative in partnership with the Government of the Dominican Republic and the National Health Service (SNS), developed specifically to support programs for the prevention, detection, monitoring, and treatment of acute malnutrition in the Dominican Republic.

The application is designed for use by community health workers, authorized health personnel, and participating organizations involved in national nutrition programs. Its objective is to strengthen nutritional care in vulnerable communities through digital tools that facilitate the early identification of cases and the standardized application of the country's official protocols.

Nutre MUAC allows for the registration and monitoring of children and adolescents from 6 months to 19 years of age, as well as pregnant and breastfeeding women, using Mid-Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC) measurement and other indicators established in the national nutrition protocols. The application facilitates the early identification of acute malnutrition cases and supports the implementation of timely interventions in accordance with the Dominican Republic's official guidelines.

The information recorded in Nutre MUAC is used solely for the purposes of care, follow-up, monitoring, and management of nutrition programs implemented in the Dominican Republic. Data is processed in accordance with the privacy policies and security standards established by the organizations responsible for the project.
