3lines.org

A tool to create 3-line documents for personal use.

Overview

Features & Capabilities

3lines.org is a versatile Chrome extension designed for language learners and readers of Chinese texts. It allows you to import ePub files in Simplified or Traditional Chinese and automatically adds a romanization line (options include pinyin, Sidney Lau, and Yale) alongside a native language translation line, supporting English and Spanish. The extension also supports copying Chinese text directly into the app and can fetch entire web pages from URLs entered, converting them into easy-to-read 3-line documents. Once your document is prepared, you can export it as a PDF for convenient offline reading or printing.

This tool simplifies the process of reading and understanding Chinese content by integrating pronunciation and translation directly under the original text. It caters to both casual readers and language learners, providing customizable romanization systems and translation options within an accessible interface. Whether working from eBooks, web pages, or pasted text, 3lines.org enhances your Chinese reading experience with structured, multi-line document formatting and convenient export features.

Recent reviews
We love this app and have used it for years now. Just recently, we have faced an unexpected problem and wonder if you have any suggestions on how to get around it? Epubs downloaded from our favourite website are now in zip files and, when extracted by our devices, now have multiple files and cannot be opened by your app. We do not know what to do about this, please help!
