VFR Map

VFR Map is an essential Chrome extension for VFR pilots flying in France. It provides real-time tracking of your aircraft on detailed moving maps, including geo-referenced VAC approach and landing charts, SIA France VFR maps, and the ability to use your own custom maps in .mbtiles format. The extension offers an altimetric profile based on your flight path, displaying the terrain elevation in real time.

This application functions fully offline, allowing pilots to access aeronautical documentation like VAC PDFs and essential flight parameters such as ground speed, altitude MSL, and heading without an internet connection. Version 3 introduced significant upgrades with geo-referenced VACs and support for multiple map layers. Designed to be user-friendly and reliable, VFR Map helps pilots navigate confidently while flying in France. Note that optional airplane positioning requires GPS activation, and the app includes minimal advertising to support hosting costs.
