SMI CalAdviser's mission is to advance care for people who have serious mental illness (SMI) and are found incompetent to stand trial (IST) in California. It helps improve the knowledge and skills of anyone who plays a role in the treatment and support of SMI and IST. SMI CalAdviser is useful across the whole mental health continuum of care. This includes correctional settings, state hospitals, and community partners.

*NOTE -- Some areas of the app are not open to the general public, such as education and consultations. These are only for employees of the State of California Department of State Hospitals (DSH) and its community partners.
