Mnemosyne

By: LJFP App
Mobile card review client for the flashcard software from mnemosyne-proj.org.

Overview

Features & Capabilities

Mnemosyne is a powerful mobile card review client designed to work with the desktop flashcard software available from mnemosyne-proj.org. Unlike traditional flashcard programs, Mnemosyne uses an advanced algorithm to schedule flashcards for review based on your learning needs — difficult cards appear more often, while easier ones are spaced out to maximize your retention efficiently.

This extension is not a standalone solution; users need to create and sync their flashcards with the desktop client via the provided sync server instructions. It is optimized for effective learning, helping you memorize question and answer pairs intelligently and saving time by focusing on what you need to practice most. The extension includes helpful resources and instructions for setup, and users are encouraged to use the official user group for support.

I use it since more than ten years. Works great. It's easy to add soundfiles and pictures to each card, so it's perfect for vocabulary learning, especially for Asian languages where this is a must have.

Sync does not work. Since this is the only way to use the app, it's useless for me.
