micro:bit CreateAI

Create AI on your BBC micro:bit using movement and machine learning

Overview

Features & Capabilities

The free micro:bit CreateAI app works with a BBC micro:bit, allowing students to explore how AI works. Train machine learning models from your own movement data, then create programs to use on your micro:bit anywhere! You will need a BBC micro:bit to use with the app.

Designed for use in the classroom, students can use a micro:bit and CreateAI to develop their own AI-powered piece of tech from scratch in a single lesson:

1. Collect data samples of movements like running, walking, dancing or jumping
2. Train machine learning models to recognise those movements
3. Test and improve the models for accuracy
4. Program a micro:bit in MakeCode to recognise and respond to your movements.

Not sure where to start? Free lessons and projects are available in the app.
