Cura-Ami

Cura-Ami is a mobile application where the target group is medical students. The app is made for educational purposes where the idea is that a user is assigned a patient who has diabetes to simulate what it is like to live with diabetes. This patient (you) has a blood sugar level that is updated every 5 minutes at any time during the day. The app will then sound the alarm if the blood sugar level is too high or too low. The user can see the ten most recent blood sugar levels in a curve and an arrow that shows which direction the blood sugar level is heading. When the app sounds the alarm, the user receives a notification where a scenario that your patient has been exposed to must be answered. Should the user ignore the notification, the app will send a new notification every 5 minutes five times with another notification that will remind the user every six hours if there are unanswered scenarios. A scenario is a real-life situation that can occur for diabetics and consists of three questions that are related to the situation. Between each question, the user is informed whether the answer was correct or incorrect and a description of each answer to increase their knowledge. When all questions are answered, the user sees the result and can also see each question and answer in detail. The user can also go back and see previous scenarios and what the user answered to them.
