Mandarin My Way is a mobile-friendly sandbox learning environment designed specifically for Chinese language learners. Instead of forcing students down a rigid path, it provides the tools and flexibility needed to develop strong listening skills, pronunciation accuracy, HSK vocabulary knowledge, and overall language confidence at their own pace.
The app includes an offline dictionary and pinyin chart both mobile with true tone audio.
The app places a strong emphasis on auditory conditioning and tone recognition, featuring Speech Pathology videos, customizable tone tests, listening drills, and a unique "Spell What You Hear" mode that challenges students to identify spoken words using pinyin and tone markers. These activities are completely customizable and help train the ear to recognize the subtle sound differences that are essential for speaking Chinese fluently.
Students can study Mandarin vocabulary all the way through HSK 6, with full access to all content levels—there are no paywalls separating material. The HSK content is pre-indexed in sets of 10. Students can easily select the set they want to focus on and explore them in as much depth as they choose. Study options include definitions, grammar, etymology, word variations, synonyms, homonyms, example sentences, and more. Students can fully customize quizzes to test themselves in any way they choose.
