WHO IT'S FOR

This app is built for anyone working or moving on foot, wheels, or door-to-door, including:

Delivery drivers, mail carriers, and couriers
Utility, maintenance, and field service workers
Door-to-door sales representatives
Runners, joggers, and fitness walkers
Cyclists, bikers, and skateboarders
Neighborhood dog walkers

If your day involves approaching homes or businesses you don't know well, K9Alert gives you a heads-up before you're caught off guard.

HOW IT WORKS

Real-Time Proximity Alerts — As you move, K9Alert checks your live location against nearby reports and alerts you with sound and vibration when you're approaching a reported area.
One-Tap Anonymous Reporting — Spot a possible dog threat? Report it instantly. A marker is pinned to the map at that location, completely anonymously.
Verified Removal — If a dog threat is no longer active, users can mark it "Dog Gone." Once verified on 3 different days, the marker disappears, keeping the map current and reliable.

ONLY REPORT ACTUAL SAFETY THREATS

To keep the map clean and highly reliable, K9Alert is strictly for reporting genuine safety hazards. Do not report friendly, tethered, or calm dogs. Only report dogs showing hostile behaviors such as:

Charging, chasing, or running at you aggressively
Snapping, growling, or showing teeth
Constant aggressive fence-charging or territorial barking
Loose, unrestrained dogs acting unpredictably near paths

A reliable map depends on everyone reporting responsibly — false or exaggerated reports hurt the tool for everyone who depends on it.

TOTAL PRIVACY BY DESIGN

Your personal safety and digital privacy are our top priorities. K9Alert is secure and built with privacy in mind:

No accounts, no sign-ups, and no passwords required.
We collect ZERO personal data — no names, no emails, no phone numbers.
Report locations are shared anonymously so others can see nearby hazards — no name, email, account, or device identity is ever attached to a report.
Your live GPS is used only to calculate your distance to nearby reports and, if you choose to submit one, to place its marker on the map.
Every single report is 100% anonymous.
No ads, ever.

Please note: report locations reflect approximate GPS coordinates, not a verified property address — the marker shows a general area, which may be near more than one home. Use it as a guide and stay alert in the surrounding area.

WHY K9ALERT

Most map apps tell you how to get somewhere. K9Alert tells you what to watch for once you're there. It's a small, focused tool that solves one real problem: knowing about a dangerous dog before you're standing in its yard, not after.
