Intercom, courtyard cameras, and apartment sensors in one app for building residents
iCity is an app for residents of buildings with iCity intercoms, cameras, and sensors. The entrance door can be opened using a phone, a call from the intercom panel is received as a video call, and footage from courtyard cameras can be viewed and saved.
Intercom
• The "Open" button in the bottom menu opens the door of the selected intercom—no need to search for the screen.
• Intercom card: address, name, and photo you define.
• Door opening code: entered on the panel when your phone is not at hand.
• Key registration code: used to register a new key with the intercom.
• Any code can be enabled, disabled, or changed; the previous code will no longer be valid.
• Events: a log of door and barrier openings with the date and time.
Only the primary resident of the address can see the key registration code and the list of residents. Guests can see the door opening code but cannot change or disable it.
Video call from the panel
The call from the intercom is displayed over the lock screen. You can see who's at the door. You can answer, mute the microphone, switch to speakerphone, and open the door directly from the doorbell.
Cameras and Archive
• Live viewing of courtyard cameras, parking lots, and intercom panels.
• 360p or 720p quality, sound, and full-screen mode.
• Archive: a progress bar shows where recordings are and aren't available; rewind within a recording, and jump to the next section.
• The desired section is downloaded to "Downloads" — downloading continues even if you leave the screen.
The camera operator sets the archive depth; the app displays the period for which recordings are available.
Residents, Guests, and Access Codes
• List of those with access to the address: residents and guests.
• Access codes are generated in batches and are given to relatives or guests so they can link the address.
• Unneeded codes are revoked; guests can be unlinked or promoted to residents.
Sensors
Sensors for window and door opening, water leaks, gas leaks, smoke, motion, and climate control. Battery status and charge are visible, and alarms are displayed as a banner at the top of the list.
Barriers
Barriers are added using a code or by request at an address and opened from the app. The request status is visible in the list.
News and Alerts
News with photo galleries and videos. Alerts from your devices are collected in a single feed: unread notifications are marked with a dot, and there's a "Read all" button.
Quick Access
Frequently needed actions, such as opening a specific door or barrier, are displayed on the main screen.
Language and Profile
The interface is in Russian and Kazakh; the language can be switched in the profile. One account can have multiple addresses; the primary one is selected manually. The first name, last name, and password can be changed in the profile.
What you need to use
1. Login by phone number: a code is sent to WhatsApp, or you can log in using a password if you've already set one.
2. The address is linked to a registration code. The code is issued by the property management company (KSK) or the primary tenant of the apartment, who creates access codes in the app. The code is entered manually or scanned from a QR code.
3. Intercoms, cameras, sensors, and barriers must be connected to the iCity system by your property management company. Without this, the app will not find the devices.
4. To ensure intercom calls are received when the app is closed, it maintains a background connection and will prompt you to exclude itself from energy saving once.
The app is available in Kazakhstan, and the interface is in Russian and Kazakh. Administrators have access to the intercom, camera, sensor, and news management sections.
