BD health

The BD Health app was developed by the Apps and Analytics team of the Maternal and Child Health Division, icddr,b, and funded by the Research for Decision Makers (RDM) initiative of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). This app provides researchers with free and easy access to publicly available survey information, statistics, and health indicators from Bangladesh.

The app compiles public health data from major historical surveys including:
• Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey (BDHS)
• Bangladesh Maternal Mortality and Health Care Survey (BMMS)
• Bangladesh Health Facility Survey (BHFS)
• Utilization of Essential Service Delivery Survey (UESDS)

These surveys cover various health topics, including fertility, family planning, maternal and child health, mortality rates, and nutrition. The app provides access to indicator tables, charts, maps, and trends, as well as links to related publications for further details.

Official Government Source of Information:
All underlying national public health data, surveys, and health indicators are officially authorized and published by the National Institute of Population Research and Training (NIPORT), a division under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of Bangladesh.
