Review summary

Reviews consistently praise Lords of Infinity for its strong writing, compelling premise, and high replay value, with players enjoying the franchise's depth and the estate/debt mechanics that tie gameplay to plot. However, many frequent criticisms center on the estate/debt system being tedious or punishing, limited impact of player choices, save system shortcomings, and occasional bugs. Overall, it's considered worth the investment by fans, though its complexity and gating can hinder some players' experience.
Pros
  • High-quality writing and storytelling that draws you into the world
  • Rich premise and world-building with engaging content
  • Very strong replayability and multiple playthroughs with branching paths
  • Value for money and overall quality of the franchise
  • Estate management mechanics are a deep, integrated part of the gameplay
Cons
  • Estate and debt management can be punishing, tedious, and feel like a chore
  • Debt system and financial balance often make progression frustrating or feel unfair
  • Choices and endings can feel limited or railroaded, reducing perceived impact
  • Lacking or unreliable save mechanisms and progress handling (saving issues)
  • Occasional bugs or design gaps (e.g., major work issues) disrupt play

It's a kind of game one would want to play and should if he is into text based one . I am not that into games but I bought this trio in 23 and loved it .More pictures for cast or character in order can make it better but as a member of forum of choice of games , I can say that author have done a best job . Not that I wouldn't like to buy a part if Paul decide to put pics in the game . Also some time(rarely) I think the stats become pointless as they don't have any effect .Anyway I love the game.

I really liked it, for such a long book the story is quite railroaded, could use a bit of tweaking to have the options affect the ending a bit more.
