I paid the 3.99, since it started out pretty promising. But the further I got, the more I started to regret it. I just could not look past the poor pacing, underdeveloped characters, extremely rushed and empty romance, and overall poor structure. It's not terrible, but definitely not worth 4 dollars.

Great story with much potential. The main character has a few different options for backstory and is left enough choice to become their own unique character. There are so many different options to mix up the story, but it is written in a way so that it can lead into a sequel. Consequently, there aren't very many endings in the first story, but from what I've seen, the later stories will get better. The different options allow for plenty of replayability. I look forward to reading the sequels.
