Looking back on my life, well past the age of "knowing the will of heaven," I can taste how faithful God's will for me has been. Even in times of extreme poverty, He led me to a life centered on the church, even more desperately than my poverty, teaching me what is more precious than material possessions.

I had aspired to become a pastor, but He finally brought me to a seminary, where He taught me to obey His compelling calling. He delighted in my fervent desire to cultivate spirituality and intellect after discovering my calling as a pastor, and He successfully completed my studies in the United States. Through this, He removed the environmental impossibilities that had blinded me with His mighty hand, allowing me to experience the Almighty's help.

At the time, I was appointed as an associate pastor at Seocho Sarang Church, then led by Pastor Ok Han-heum. I was the envy of others and had high aspirations. Then, an unexpected medical accident brought me to the brink of death. Through this, I learned that God is the master of life, that He would break all my pride and lead me to complete obedience. Through the countless congregation members who desperately prayed for the life of a new associate pastor, I learned the powerful power of intercessory prayer.

I am also grateful that He has given me the opportunity to pastor a church, but He has also given me the opportunity to share the knowledge and experience He has bestowed upon me with younger generations who aspire to be His servants. This has allowed me to pray beyond the centeredness of individual churches and to look to the future of the Korean church. All of this was God's faithful plan, beyond what I could grasp with my own knowledge and understanding. Now, until the day I meet the Lord again, I desire to share with you only the grace He has given me.

As a human, Park Hee-seok dies on the cross every day. Every day, I strive to serve the church as a servant of the Lord, revealing only Jesus.
