The CopWatch app has a video recording function. It can be programmed to send alerts with your location via SMS to your family and friends during an emergency situation with the police.

The app links to the CopWatch website for information on individual rights and obligations when dealing with the police.

Brilliant Initiative for Social Justice

I just don't understand this app. It makes no sense for the very purpose it is meant to serve. First unlike my camera I have to unlock my phone to use it, if my phone is confiscated by police they can delete what I've recorded. Secondly I went through setup it doesn't have anything to select to automatically save video to a cloud. So then I go into my own phone's settings thinking there will be a permission to store / save to a cloud. Nope. Why? Why? Why? I'm deleting the app it's useless.
