Superbly fun. Even though this demo is simple, I was very much impressed with how well everything worked. This has incredible potential. I suggest turning this into a full-blown kart racing game, like Mario Kart or Track Mania. I'd love to see some tunnels, ramps, loops, and things to collect along the way. Just a little polish and I'd be willing to spend $10 - $15 for it.
