Cenipalma Monitor brings AI-assisted assessment of oil palm cultivation to the field.

The models run on the phone, so the application works completely offline, even in fields without signal. It's a growing tool: its modules are being expanded with new topics related to the crop.

Bunch Quality. Photograph the harvested bunch and get an assessment in seconds according to the Cenipalma scales: the percentage of conformation with its class (1 to 4) and the percentage of damage from Demotispa neivai scraping with its grade (0 to 5). The application outlines the bunch in the image and marks the measured areas on the photo, so the result can be verified at a glance. Each session defines which of the two assessments to report, how many photos to take per bunch, and whether to record the weight.

Insect Pests. Photograph the sampling point and receive species identification and individual counts for immature stages of seven species associated with the crop: Strategus aloeus (rhinoceros beetle), Acharia fusca (slugworm), Stenoma impressella (fruit borer), Caphys bilineata, Opsiphanes invirae, Opsiphanes cassina, and Leptopharsa gibbicarina (lace bug).

IN BOTH MODULES

The work is organized into sessions with information on the plantation, plot, operator, and location, with coordinates recorded for each evaluation as the plot is traversed. Everything is saved on the phone and can be exported as CSV files, including photos and results images, for analysis on a computer.
