OpenMediaTools Firefox

OpenMediaTools

Send images and screenshots to OpenMediaTools and open them instantly in the right browser-based media tool.

Features & Capabilities

OpenMediaTools for Firefox lets you send user-selected images and screenshots straight to OpenMediaTools.

Features:

  • Right-click images and open them directly in OpenMediaTools
  • Send screenshots of the visible page
  • Select a custom page area and send only that part
  • Open image tools such as compression, upscaling, background removal, watermark removal, and format conversion
  • Choose the extension language independently from the browser UI

The add-on does not inject ads, does not modify your homepage, search engine, or new tab page, and does not collect analytics.

Data handling: Only content the user explicitly selects, such as a right-clicked image or a user-triggered screenshot, is transferred to openmedia.tools to prefill the chosen tool page. The extension stores only the selected interface language locally in browser storage.

A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

OpenMediaTools requires a lot of sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
