Auto Text Replacer

Doesn't seem to work for outlook. I was hoping to use it to translate Chinese names into English names, but it prevents the site from loading. Possibly can't process the amount of text outlook has, not sure.

This has become my favorite Chrome extension. I use it to automatically replace politicians' names with more humorous monikers (and note the replacement by prepending an asterisk). It adds a bit of fun and a sense of control over the media environment.

Very good extension - it allows me to remove manipulative/deceptive language such as doublespeak and translate it into normal, neutral English. A few improvements could be made though: 1. When switching between text and regex mode, the content should be copied. Currently, it gets deleted. 2. Non-capturing groups (?:...) are not supported; the content within those is also replaced. 3. If a regex is written wrongly, for example a greedy match which matches in a loop or for too long, the affected page freezes. There could be a timeout or performance monitor to cancel replacement if this happens. 4. The toggles (case-insensitive, etc) are not remembered across entries. When creating a new entry, ideally it should prepopulate the toggles selected last time. 5. It would be ideal if the ability to toggle each replacement was possible without clicking into the entry; there could be a toggle to the right of each entry for easy toggling.
