OneTab Firefox

OneTab

Save up to 95% memory and reduce tab clutter

Features & Capabilities

OneTab helps you tame tab chaos by converting all open tabs into a single, shareable list. You can restore tabs individually or all at once, making it easy to reclaim focused work while dramatically reducing memory usage.

OneTab is designed with privacy in mind. Your tab URLs are never transmitted to OneTab or third parties. The only exception is when you use the share as a web page feature to share your tab list. Reducing open tabs also lowers CPU and memory usage, helping your browser run more smoothly and improve overall performance.

User Reviews

Largely positive on bulk saving and organization, with strong workflow enhancements. Repeated issues include data loss after updates, disruptive UI changes, and auto-pinning. Some users express trust concerns and demand a robust backup/restore feature.
Pros
  • Efficient bulk saving and retrieval of large tab sets.
  • Powerful organization features including folders, drag-and-drop, filtering, search, and a trash area.
  • Quick access to saved pages and reduced mental load when returning to a session.
  • Visible appreciation for updates and new features that add value (e.g., improved workflows).
  • Described by users as a lifesaver and highly useful when working with many tabs.
Cons
  • Data loss or wiping of saved tabs after updates (frequent and widely reported).
  • UI changes in updates (center-aligned layout and multi-panel design) that reduce usability for some users.
  • Pinned-tab auto-pinning/automatic pinning of OneTab on open (annoying).
  • Trust/reliability concerns about the developers due to data-loss incidents and update behaviour.
  • Lack of a comprehensive backup/restore option to recover all data.
Recent reviews
NB! DO NOT USE THIS GARBAGE OF an addon. Yesterday received some update and today months of work is gone forever - no DB backup no nothing! It is not coded well at all! I DID not refreshed my Firefox, neither did some kind of cleaning of the browser or Windows whatsoever. What a f%#king shame !!! I do not see any reason why is recommended app by Firefox, when I read that clearly I'm not the only one affected. And please developers, don't say it is Firefox fault. It is not the only add-on we use. You can read firefox code, and fix your own!
