User reviews
Access Assistant is widely praised as a reliable, user-friendly Chrome extension that effectively identifies and organizes accessibility issues, aiding compliance with standards like WCAG 2.0 and 2.1. Users appreciate its integration into daily workflow and the ease of conducting quick tests. However, some users report technical issues such as crashes on Chrome and inability to test unpublished local pages. Additionally, there's some confusion over technical terms without clear guidance unless subscribed as paid users.
Pros
- Effective and reliable for accessibility testing.
- User-friendly and easy to use with a simple interface.
- Helps identify and organize accessibility issues quickly.
- Supports compliance with accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 Level A and AA.
- Integrates well into daily workflow, making testing easier and even fun.
Cons
- Crashes and fails to work properly on Chrome browser for some users.
- Does not function on local pages that haven't been published yet.
- Lack of guidance or explanation for terms like 'AMP URL' for non-paid users, causing confusion.
Recent reviews
What's up with all these 5 star reviews? This tool doesn't even work on Chrome browser. Keeps crashing and when I hit the 'run' for a quick test, it does nothing. And, what's an AMP URL? How does a user supposed to know that if you are not paid user.

I really wanted to like this tool as it's an excellent idea.
Sadly, it doesn't work for pages that you're editing on your machine that haven't been published yet. I'm trying to make sure my project is in compliance before I put it on the web.
