What is MultiHighlighter?

MultiHighlighter is a Chrome extension that enables users to search multiple words or phrases on a webpage or in a local file and highlight each of these terms separately in distinct colors. In addition to highlighting, it provides an incremental count of matched terms and offers text redaction capabilities. The plugin can be activated via a hotkey combination and doesn't interfere with Chrome's default search functionality. The highlighting is sustained when pages are printed or saved as PDF.

MultiHighlighter is a decent highlighter with a simple input box and no settings (e.g., always fragment of words, case insensitive, diacritic sensitive). It's a pity that it does not highlight words in iFrames. But the main issue is that, it uses Manifest V2, which will soon be deprecated, and the developer hasn't updated it since 2014!
