User Reviews

Notion Web Clipper for Firefox is plagued by login and container issues, with repeated prompts and failures to complete login when Firefox Containers are used. The add-on often stops working and can show 'Please go online to save to Notion' despite being online, plus reports of stability problems that break Firefox. Users also complain about no multi-workspace support and limited save options (no bookmarks or mentions). Some workarounds exist (log in in a non-container tab or use OAuth), but overall reliability is inconsistent.
Pros
  • Some users report no issues and smooth sailing.
  • If Notion is logged in in a non-container tab, the clipper can start working.
  • There are workarounds to login (via OAuth or direct login to the extension) that can restore functionality for some users.
Cons
  • Login failures persist, especially with Firefox Containers; the extension can redirect to Notion login but not complete login.
  • Containered sessions disrupt login and the addon fails to login after being logged in in Notion; not working with containers.
  • The tool is intermittent and unreliable, with reports of it suddenly stopping and 'Please go online to save to Notion' errors.
  • Lack of multi-workspace support and no flexible saving options (no bookmarks or mentions).
  • Stability issues: extension can crash Firefox or cause websites to fail to load or throw 'Permission denied' errors.
Recent reviews
Despite the login in notion, the addon repeatedly asks to log in. This is not the connection to notion. Also the FAQ note "The Web Clipper keeps ask ask me to log in." for allowing cookies for the notion website does not work. The addon is useless and I am forced to store my websites and links in Obsidian or Raindrop.

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data.
