No Comment Firefox

By: Jimbo22 Add-on
Hides comment sections on YouTube, Reddit, X, Instagram, TikTok and more, automatically. Removes Shorts and Reels too. Peek at comments for two minutes when you want them. No account, no tracking.

Features & Capabilities

The best sites on the internet come bolted to the worst comment sections. You come for the video, and twenty minutes later you're arguing with a stranger in the replies.

No Comment hides comments the instant a page loads — YouTube, Reddit, X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Medium and Twitch. It also strips Shorts and Reels from your feeds and hides Twitch chat. You keep the videos and the posts, minus the discourse.

Want them back? Click the toolbar icon and hit Peek at Comments. They appear for two minutes, then close themselves.

What you get

  • Comments hidden by default, with a per-site toggle
  • No Shorts, no Reels — gone from the feed, no placeholder
  • Twitch without the chat; the video fills the space
  • A weekly summary of how much of your week stayed quiet
  • Optional word challenge lock, for keeping future-you honest
  • Optional NSFW and site-category blocking
  • Light, dark, or system theme
Privacy

No accounts, no analytics, no data collection. Stats stay on your machine.

No Comment asks for one broad permission: access to all sites, needed only if you turn on network-level blocking. Firefox prompts you at that moment, and comments-only users never see it. Blocking is handed to Firefox to enforce — No Comment never watches your traffic.

Is No Comment Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

No Comment requires a lot of sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.

This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.

No Comment may not be trust-worthy. Avoid installing if possible unless you really trust this publisher.
