Lesmaatje: Nederlands leren

Lesmaatje is a complete Dutch course for adults who do not yet speak the language. You start with the very first word and work your way up to level A2 step by step.

No account, no ads, no costs.

WHAT YOU LEARN 32 modules on daily life in the Netherlands — 16 at level A1 and 16 at level A2: introductions, family, living, shopping, food and drink, travel, health, work, money, institutions, education, and job searching.

Each module has 6 lessons, a review, and a test. In every lesson: • new words with audio • a conversation you can listen to • sentences to repeat aloud • a reading text with questions • exercises with immediate right or wrong answers • "this is how you say it" — the sentences you really need

EXPLANATION IN YOUR OWN LANGUAGE You read the explanations in Dutch, English, Arabic, Turkish, Ukrainian, Polish, or Tigrinya. The words are translated for you. This way, you understand what you are doing, even if you know almost no Dutch yet. LISTENING TO REAL VOICES Each character has their own voice. You hear what a conversation sounds like at the doctor's, in the shop, or at the town hall.

EVEN WITHOUT INTERNET Save a module on your phone and continue practicing without internet or a data plan.

YOUR PROGRESS IS SAVED The app remembers where you left off. Everything stays on your own phone — you don't need to sign up for anything.
