Vedea is an app designed to improve vision in children with amblyopia (lazy eye). Developed in collaboration with leading eye care professionals, our app uses engaging VR technology and dichoptic games to provide a fun and effective treatment experience.

About the Vedea Research Study:
This app is currently part of an ongoing research study to evaluate the effectiveness of VR-based dichoptic games in improving visual acuity and binocular vision. It is exclusively for participants enrolled in the study.

How it Works:
Vedea's innovative technology presents different images to each eye, stimulating the neural connections and promoting better eye coordination. Participants engage in various VR games designed to be both therapeutic and engaging.

Children are immersed in a captivating virtual world that motivates them to complete their therapy with Vedea's engaging VR experience. Our dichoptic games stimulate both eyes simultaneously, strengthening the weaker eye and improving visual acuity. Vedea is created in collaboration with eye care professionals and used in clinical trials. The app has an easy-to-use and navigable kid-friendly interface, with colorful visuals and engaging characters that kids love.

Benefits:
Our app aims to make amblyopia therapy enjoyable and encourage children to actively participate, increasing compliance. Therapy can be accessed from reducing the need for frequent clinic visits with convenient treatment.

Important Notes:
- This app requires a compatible mobile phone and VR goggles (not included).
- This app can only be activated with an activation code, provided to the study subjects.
- Data collected through the app will be used for research purposes, all data is anonymized and kept confidential according to the study's privacy protocols.
- During ongoing studies Vedea is intended for use under the guidance of an eye care professional. -

The Vedea app follows all rules and regulations for health-related human subjects research, including obtaining informed consent from participants or their parent/guardian. The Vedea app is approved by the Erasmus MC Medical Ethics Review Committee (IRB).
