User Reviews

Users praise Night Eye for a natural, readable dark mode and strong per-site customization, along with a generous free trial and generally good support. It’s seen as superior to other dark-mode extensions and reliable across many sites. However, recurring concerns center on pricing after the trial, limited free usage, occasional incompatibilities with sites that have built-in dark themes, and occasional slower page loads.
Pros
  • Natural-looking dark mode that preserves readability instead of simple color inversion.
  • Per-site customization with multiple modes and adjustable brightness, contrast, and warmth.
  • Generous free trial and generally responsive support.
  • Outperforms other dark-mode extensions and works well across most sites.
  • Automatic application across websites and overall reliability for night-use scenarios.
Cons
  • Pricing after the trial can be expensive or unclear, with options for subscription or one-time payment.
  • Free version is limited to darkening only a subset of sites, which reduces its usefulness.
  • May not work well on sites that have their own built-in dark themes or complex layouts, causing dark mode to fail or degrade (e.g., dark becomes white).
  • Some pages may load slower due to processing needed to apply the dark mode.

Not for one second do I believe that high reviews for this vile extension. I installed it, used it for just a bit, hated every single minute of it, uninstalled it. Little did I know that it was going to leave issues behind. Now, every website I go to has this loading screen and it says "falsy verification" then it'll take me to whatever website I was going to. WtACTUALf is a falsy verification? I also can't get my search engine to stay in daerk mode after going into its settings, appearance, click dark mode, scroll to the botton, save and exit, refresh page, NOTHING! Its stilling white. Now my search engine won't even save dark mode. It just goes right back to white. I can't believe Firefox would even allow such a f*cked up extension on here. I am BIG mad!! I'm contacting them right after this review because their crappy extension left crap without my consent.
