What is Lock Tab?

"Lock Tab" is a Chrome extension that ensures prevention from accidental tab closures. This extension adds a padlock icon that allows users to switch a tab's state between locked and unlocked. When attempting to close a locked tab, a confirmation dialogue appears to prevent any unintentional tab closure. Please note, after locking a tab some interaction on the page is required for the feature to function as per Google Chrome's mechanism.

Nice and Simple

Works quite well for how simple it is, and for this reason I am willing to accept some of the minor drawbacks. On some pages it does not seem to work, when I tried to lock the webstore page the extention did not display the locked icon when clicked. Otherwise exactly what I was looking for, and being open source is a good bonus.
