User reviews

Users appreciate that the add-on reliably opens a new tab with Google through its icon and find it simple and useful for quick access. However, multiple users are disappointed that it does not replace the default new tab button or keyboard shortcut, making the separate icon unintuitive. There is a desire for URL customization and better compatibility, particularly with Linux and certain Firefox versions.

  • It is simple, fast, and functional to use.
  • Helps users who want quick access to Google or need a new tab with Google for Firefox.
Cons

  • The separate button can be unintuitive and doesn't meet expectations for users wanting the standard new tab to open Google.
  • Limited customization such as not allowing changes to Google URL for different countries.
  • Incompatibility with some Firefox versions and operating systems like Linux was reported.

If it worked by overriding the normall new tab button it would be great but having a separate button is unintuitive and does not work for most people needs.
