CHICHOW

Chichow is chess reimagined as a creature-battle game. You play chess against a clever computer, but captures are not automatic. Every time you attack, the two creatures fight a quick turn-based battle, and you only take the square if you win. Read the board, pick your battles, and capture the enemy king to win the match.

HOW IT PLAYS

Tap a piece, then tap where to send it. Move onto an enemy and a battle begins. Choose your creature's moves, play the type triangle of Fire, Air, and Earth, and land the finishing blow. Win the battle and the capture lands. Lose it and, depending on your difficulty, your attack is turned away or your piece falls.

CHESS, BUT ALIVE

Standard piece moves you already know, with a simple win goal: capture the enemy king. No fussy rules to memorize, just sharp decisions. Do you trade your rook creature into a bad type matchup, or set up a cleaner attack next turn? Every capture is a small gamble you can plan around.

COLLECT AND BUILD YOUR ARMY

Beat an opponent and you collect one of their creatures. Assign your growing collection to your sixteen pieces on the Army screen, so a well-built team turns hard captures into sure things. Creatures are always earned by playing, never bought.

SIX LEAGUES, SEVENTY TWO OPPONENTS

Climb from the Pawn's Gambit to the King's Trial against opponents that grow smarter and field stronger creatures. Earn up to three stars per match for winning, winning without losing a battle, and winning fast. The next league opens well before you need every star, so casual and hardcore players both keep moving.

GAUNTLET AND DAILY RUN

Take on a gauntlet of rising opponents until you lose, and chase your best streak. The daily gauntlet uses the same seed for everyone, so your run is a fair comparison. Share a score card straight from your phone and dare a friend to beat it.
