User Reviews

Open-source Thunderbird-like Android client shines for multi-account users and desktop familiarity, but suffers from unreliable push, limited IMAP/folder management, weak spam controls, and setup/import hurdles.

Pros

Described as the best open-source email app for Android.
Handles multiple accounts smoothly and makes cross-provider management easy (e.g., Google, Outlook).
Gives a familiar Thunderbird desktop-like experience on Android, appreciated by long-time Thunderbird users.

Cons

Push notifications are unreliable or delayed (not real-time).
IMAP/folder management is limited (cannot create folders; unified mailbox restricted to Inbox).
Spam filtering is weak or missing compared to the desktop version.
QR/code import/setup often doesn’t work reliably (QR import/import from desktop).
Yahoo setup issues (Yahoo login/config blocked).

Recent reviews

works perfectly on my nothing phone 4a, great alternative to Gmail and outlook if you want abit more privacy as well as supporting an open source app. also switched to this cos Gmail was having issues with outlook constantly or deleting a Gmail email pops back up like 10 seconds later in inbox again 🙄
